History of Magic HomeworkEmily sat at the table, rubbing her temples as she tried to finish off her History of Magic homework. She was at that stage where she'd covered all the main points, but she still had a paragraph to fill before she was at the required length. But what to write about? She'd already covered the egyptain's advances in cursing and hexing, as well as how they made extensive use of an ancient variation on the Lumos spell to light their way into the pyramids without leaving smoke damage, and she'd already gone into detail on the various magical techniques they'd used to ensure the pyramids were actually lined up straight. So what was left to talk about? There was a rustling, flopping sound, and Emily's transfiguration textbook flapped over to the desk from where it had been perched on the back of a sofa. "Not now" Emily muttered, waving it away. "I'm trying to finish this homework." The book twitched its curly book-leather antennae, flipping its pages back and forth as it fanned out its wings.
